Green Zebra - Local Savings for Sustainable Living

If you haven't already purchased your Green Zebra savings guide, now is the time! Not only do these green guides help you save money at restaurants, yoga studios, markets and independent bookstores, but they are full of information and can answer many questions you might have about living green. Not sure where to dispose of batteries and other toxic materials? Confused about which ingredients to avoid in personal care products? You’ll find practical answers to these questions and more in these guides.
There are three editions: San Francisco, Marin and Peninsula and at $25 each, it is a steal! With over 250 offers worth over $10,000, sales benefit a variety of local organizations. Sales from the San Francisco guide benefit the San Francisco Green Schoolyard Alliance, sales from the Peninsula guide benefit the San Mateo Outdoor Education program and sales from the Marin County guide will benefit the Marin Organic Lunch Program. You can buy them online or at several retailers and restaurants listed on the website. Many schools are selling the guides as fundraisers as well. If you live in Novato, you can save $5 on guide by getting it from Susan Johnson's son (email: susan-j@comcast.net). Her son is selling them for his school, Marin Waldorf School in San Rafael. These guides are a great way to explore and support your green, local communities.
