Treehugger's Green Guide to Personal Care

Treehugger.com has one of the most comprehensive and informative articles I have read on the issue of personal care products explaining why most of the traditional ones are so harmful, giving you a list of ingredients to watch out for as well a offering several alternatives. Here's just one fact mentioned in the article:

"Major loopholes in US federal law allow the $35 billion cosmetics industry to put virtually unlimited amounts of chemicals into personal care products with no required testing, no monitoring of health effects, and inadequate labeling requirements."

Yikes! Since personal care products, especially skin care, make up and body care, are one of my top passions, I will continue to review personal care products here every Thursday. So look for future posts! For the Treehugger's full article, click here.
