Green Cleaning - Windows

Here are some easy, do-it-yourself cleaners you can make at home that will make your windows sparkle:





Vinegar-Based Window Cleaner

2 teaspoons of distilled white vinegar
1 quart of warm water
spray bottle

Mix all ingredient well. Spritz on window and use a natural linen towel or other soft cloth to clean.
Shelf life: Indefinite

Cornstarch-Based Window Cleaner
1/2 cup of cornstarch
2 cup of warm water
pail or bucket

Mix well and apply with sponge, then wipe windows dry with absorbent cloth or old towels. This solution is great for car windows and bathroom mirrors, leaving them dry, shinny and streak-free. Shelf life: Use and discard.

Club Soda Window Cleaner
Club Soda
Spray bottle

Spritz on windows and wipe clean. Shelf life: Indefinite.

Great store bought alternatives: Method's Blue Sky Streak-Free Glass Cleaner or Caldrea Window Spray in Blue Sage or Lavender Pine. All available at Drugstore.com
